Set Your ActiveCampaign Reply-To Address

Esta página aún no está disponible en tu idioma.

ActiveCampaign uses your From email as the reply-to unless you clear one checkbox. There is a second thing to know first, because it changes what actually lands in Know Reply.

What to paste: ac@reply.yourbrand.com

Your domain has to be verified in Know Reply first. See How a reply domain works.

With Reply Tracking on, the address in a recipient’s To field is an ActiveCampaign tracking address that looks like reply-accountname.activehosted.6.16.28@s15.avl3.acemsrvc.com. That address cannot be changed. ActiveCampaign receives the reply, records it against the contact, and forwards it on to your reply-to address.

Replies still reach Know Reply, so the setup works either way. What changes is the envelope: the message arrives forwarded by ActiveCampaign rather than direct from the customer, so threading and sender detection are a step removed. If you do not need reply tracking in ActiveCampaign reporting, turning it off gives Know Reply a cleaner message to work with.

  1. Click Email in the left menu and open the campaign.
  2. On the campaign settings page, fill in the From name and email.
  3. Clear the checkbox Use this email as my reply-to address.
  4. Paste ac@reply.yourbrand.com into the field that appears.
  5. Save.
  1. Click Automations in the left menu and open the automation.
  2. Click the << arrow at the top right of the canvas to expand Settings.
  3. Open the Messages tab.
  4. Click Edit all to change every email in the automation at once, or select individual emails and click Edit sender.
  5. Clear Use this email as my reply-to address and paste ac@reply.yourbrand.com.

Doing this from the Messages tab is worth the extra clicks. Automations are where the replies come from, and editing them one email at a time is how one welcome series ends up still pointing at an old address.

Emails sent from a deal or contact record use the sending user’s connected mailbox and their own From and To settings. Those are not covered by campaign settings and should stay pointed at the human who sends them.

Send a test campaign to yourself and reply. If Reply Tracking is on you will see the acemsrvc.com address in your To field, which is expected. Confirm the reply still shows up in Know Reply a moment later.
