This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Know Reply AI-powered email intelligence platform, including our website at knowreply.ai and the application at app.knowreply.ai (collectively, the "Service"). This AUP is part of our Terms of Service and applies to all users of the Service.

1. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service for any of the following purposes:

Spam and Unsolicited Communications

  • Sending unsolicited bulk emails, spam, or automated mass communications
  • Using the AI to generate content for email campaigns that violate CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL, or other anti-spam laws
  • Harvesting or collecting email addresses for unsolicited outreach

Harassment and Harmful Content

  • Generating threatening, harassing, abusive, defamatory, or discriminatory content
  • Using the AI to create content that promotes violence, hatred, or harm against individuals or groups
  • Impersonating another person or entity through AI-generated communications
  • Creating deceptive or fraudulent communications designed to mislead recipients

Illegal Activities

  • Using the Service to facilitate any illegal activity, including fraud, phishing, or identity theft
  • Processing or transmitting content that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Using the Service in connection with the sale of illegal goods or services
  • Transmitting content that infringes on intellectual property rights of third parties

Malware and Security Threats

  • Distributing malware, viruses, trojans, or other malicious software through the Service
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other user accounts, or our systems
  • Conducting denial-of-service attacks or other activities that disrupt the Service
  • Exploiting security vulnerabilities without responsibly disclosing them to our team

Scraping and Reverse Engineering

  • Scraping, crawling, or using automated tools to extract data from the Service beyond normal use
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the Service or its underlying technology
  • Attempting to extract or replicate our AI models, algorithms, or training methodologies
  • Using the Service output to build competing products or services

2. Email Volume Limits

Each subscription plan includes specific limits on the number of emails that can be processed through our AI engine per month. These limits are clearly stated on our pricing page and within your account dashboard. Exceeding your plan's email processing limits may result in temporary throttling of AI processing until the next billing cycle or an automatic upgrade to a higher tier, depending on your account settings.

3. Rate Limiting

To ensure fair use and maintain service quality for all users, Know Reply enforces rate limits on API calls and AI processing requests. Rate limits vary by subscription plan. If you exceed the rate limit, your requests will be temporarily queued or rejected with an appropriate error message. Persistent attempts to circumvent rate limits may be treated as a violation of this AUP.

4. Automated Abuse Prevention

Know Reply employs automated systems to detect and prevent abusive behavior on the platform. These systems monitor for unusual patterns such as abnormally high request volumes, repetitive content submissions, and attempts to bypass security controls. If our automated systems flag your account for potential abuse, we may temporarily restrict your access while we review the activity. We will notify you promptly if any action is taken on your account.

5. Consequences of Violations

If we determine that you have violated this AUP, we may take one or more of the following actions at our sole discretion:

  • Warning: We may issue a written warning and request that you cease the prohibited activity
  • Temporary suspension: We may temporarily suspend your access to the Service while we investigate the violation
  • Feature restriction: We may restrict access to specific features of the Service
  • Account termination: We may permanently terminate your account for serious or repeated violations
  • Legal action: We may pursue legal remedies if your actions cause harm to Know Reply, our users, or third parties

Violations resulting in account termination are not eligible for refunds. We reserve the right to report illegal activities to relevant law enforcement authorities.

6. Reporting Abuse

If you become aware of any misuse of the Service or violations of this AUP, please report it immediately to support@knowreply.ai with the subject line "Abuse Report." Please include as much detail as possible, including relevant email addresses, descriptions of the abusive behavior, and any supporting evidence. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through our website or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
