Set Your HubSpot Reply-To Address

このコンテンツはまだ日本語訳がありません。

HubSpot has a proper reply-to field on marketing emails, and it does what you would expect: the email goes out from a named person, and the replies go somewhere a team can actually work them. Custom reply-to addresses are a Marketing Hub Professional and Enterprise feature.

What to paste: hubspot@reply.yourbrand.com

Your domain has to be verified in Know Reply first. See How a reply domain works.

  1. Go to Marketing, then Email, and open a draft or create a new email.
  2. Click the inbox content module at the top of the page.
  3. In the left sidebar editor, pick the sender from the From address dropdown.
  4. Clear the checkbox Use this as my reply-to address.
  5. Open the Reply-to address dropdown, click Add email address, enter hubspot@reply.yourbrand.com, and click Add email address.
  6. Select it, then save the email.

What HubSpot will tell you about connected inboxes

Section titled “What HubSpot will tell you about connected inboxes”

HubSpot logs replies to a custom reply-to address only if the matching inbox is connected to HubSpot. A reply domain address is not a mailbox you can connect, so those replies will not appear on the contact timeline in HubSpot. They appear in Know Reply instead, which is the point, but it is worth knowing before someone asks why the CRM looks quiet.

If timeline logging matters more than automated answers for a particular email, leave that one pointing at a connected inbox.

Automated replies such as out-of-office responders go to the original From address on some providers regardless of the reply-to header. And a few recipient mail systems ignore reply-to entirely and answer the From address. Both are edge cases, and both mean a small share of replies will still reach the sender’s mailbox.

One-to-one sales emails and sequences send from the rep’s connected mailbox and use their own from and reply-to. Those should stay as they are. This guide covers marketing email only.

Send a test to yourself and reply. Confirm hubspot@reply.yourbrand.com is in the To field and that the conversation reaches Know Reply.
